Niky Roehreke

Niky Roehreke is a German/Japanese Illustrator whose work crosses no boundaries in drawing, doodling, collages and scanning her everyday routine.

I heard about her work through a link from the infamous DR.ME - the collaborative brotherhood of artists and designers Eddy Ryan and Mark Edwards. They have worked with Mike Perry since 2010 and he wanted to celebrate and thank those young, emerging designers who have helped him.

On the site couldnotwithoutyou he releases those artists and one which caught my eye was Niky Roehreke - a beautiful and at-the-moment artist whose work is both challenging and visually rewarding. I love her exploration into language combined with a collage of images and hand drawn elements.

It is fresh, subversive and awkward at moments but I love her alternative view on what is expected ... normal ... banal!

For more of her work please see it here - It's a must you will enjoy!
